First - how is it that the Japanese have figured out the best words to communicate the most complex and enriching philosophies of life?? Hats off to them!
Love this concept and completely agree with it! The organization that I previously worked launched a Break the Rules campaign to help break some of those deeply engrained rules that made sense at one time but had become just a 'process' or 'checkbox' and now a burden for better patient care. https://www.ihi.org/networks/leadership-alliance/breaking-the-rules-for-better-care
This concept can be applied to any part of our life. What else are we doing just for the sake of doing it?? Something to reflect on and break those molds.
